Lake Lure Artists

Who are we?

The Lake Lure Artists are a group of painters, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, potters, and jewelry makers.  We sell our artwork at shows and galleries in the area.

The Lake Lure Artists have been meeting at 9:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month since the early 1980's.    There are no dues to be a member of the artists group and no mandatory attendance requirements.  There is no level of artistic mastery required to be a member, only a love of art and a desire to share your time with others who feel the same way.

If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact Carlann - and also check the meeting schedule to see where we are meeting.

We have an annual art sale in Lake Lure and many of our artists show their work in galleries and community art shows. Be sure to check out our artwork at the Mountains Branch Public Library in Lake Lure.

Many of us are also members of Tryon Painters and Sculptors in Tryon, NC.  You can find our work in their shows and at the St. Luke's Hospital where artists display their work along the corridors.

Thanks to these organizations for supporting local artists!
